The Pre-Contest Rules Thread
First off I am excited to announce that Community Building Contest #4 starts Tuesday, January 31st.
Me and Team CBC have set up 100 challenges for you to try to complete. 25 irl challenges, 25 internet challenges, 25 kym challenges and 25 art challenges.
Once again, your opponents are getting the EXACT same post as this.
Now, let's talk about rules.
General Rules
All 100 challenges will be posted at once. You have 2 weeks to get more points than your opponents.
Most challenges are worth 1 point. But bonus points are arbitrarily sprinkled about.
Some challenges are really easy, some are extremely difficult. If either team completes every challenge I will be pretty impressed.
Some challenges are competitive but most can be completed regardless of what the other team does. Some competitive challenges need to be coordinated so teams can go up against each other. Will figure out the best time for this when we're sure who wants to do them.
Some challenges have time limits, but in all but 1 case the time limit is before the contest ends, so don't fret.
IRL Challenges
IRL challenges require cameras, video cameras or audio recorders.
Not every IRL challenge requires a picture of yourself, but some do.
When taking a picture you NEED to have a timestamp. A time stamp doesn't need to be anything more than a piece of paper that says "CBC #4" included in your image.
Videos and audio recordings can have you just saying that it's for the community building contest.
Internet Challenges
Internet challenges are challenges that need websites other than Know Your Meme to be completed.
Most of these tasks can be completed with simple screencaps. If you do not know how to take a screencap, I'm sure someone on your team can help you out.
Some of these challenges require you to sign up to other websites. The easiest way for me to verify that is yours is for you to make a post that says it is for the CBC, for you to link the comment to me and then you can delete it.
KYM challenges
All these challenges can be completed only using KYM, but we'd recommend using this private forum for some of them.
For the most part, screencaps and links to posts should be enough.
Art Challenges
These are really just challenges that require creativity.
Use any program or medium that you want unless it's specified in the challenge.
If it's a picture, a timestamp is needed.
So that's that. Now, if there are any questions at all, PLEASE PLEASE ask them. I may need to make changes in the rules or something like that. Also I'm answering questions in batches from this forum and the other one. So both teams will see the questions you ask, but don't let that make you not want to ask questions, this is for the good of everyone so we can all have a good time.
Thanks for playing everyone.

How are we going to share out the challenges? Are we still using the groups from that other thread?

I'm glad you asked, some times I'm not as clear as I'd like to be.
Here's a step by step with images.
1. Sign up for the desired website
2a. Make a post about cbc and either link it to me or screencap it.
2b. After I see it you can delete it.
3. Do the challenge. (Which in this case seems to be the be racist on Gaia Online Challenge)
Also, some things I forgot to mention. When submitting your screencaps and pictures, there will be a kym thread that you can post them in. Alternatively, you can submit them to me and I will post them.
And it would be very helpful if you could determine who your team leader will be because it is essential you have one for some of the challenges. Thanks.
Re: The Pre-Contest Rules Thread
People who are in the Internet or IRL groups plan to do the related challenges. People in the artistic/drawing and writing groups prepare to do the creative challenges.
People in other groups prepare to do any sort of challenge related to your group.

Yeah, I found out after this was posted.
I probably should have made that distinction, sorry.
